Privacy Policy

Effective 13 September 2026 · applies to lingoread.space, the LingoRead web app and the LingoRead Telegram app

In short. We keep what the app needs to work for you: your account, the books you add, your reading progress and saved words, and your monthly coin balance. Text you read or ask about is sent to AI providers to be translated or explained and is not used to train anything of ours. We do not sell data and we do not run advertising trackers. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. Payment options may be added later; until then we do not collect payment details.

1. Who is responsible

LingoRead (“we”, “us”) operates the service. For any question about your data write to the developer on Telegram, t.me/imnokk, or use the feedback form inside the app (Profile → Feedback).

2. What we collect

Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, request logs, error reportsYour browserSecurity, abuse prevention and fixing bugs
Visit statistics: a random visitor ID kept in your browser, the pages you open, the website that sent you (its domain only) and the campaign tags in the link that brought you (such as utm_source or utm_campaign), browser language and type, phone or computerYour browser, through our own visit counterTo know how people find LingoRead and which of our ads and posts bring readers

We do not take payments today, so we do not collect card numbers, wallet keys or payment invoices. Payment options may be added later. If they are, those details stay with the payment provider and do not land on our servers.

3. How AI processing works

Translation, word explanations, deep analysis, voice reading and the tutor are produced by AI models run by third parties. To do that we send them the relevant text: a page of the book, a word with the sentence around it, your question and a short piece of the page it is about. We send only what is needed for the answer and no account details. Providers process this data under their own terms and, in our configuration, do not use it to train their models. We keep the results (a translated page, an explanation) so the same request is not run again.

4. Who processes data for us

These providers may be located outside your country. We use providers that commit to standard data-protection safeguards.

5. Sharing

We do not sell personal data and do not share it for advertising. Data leaves our systems only to the processors above, when you choose to share something (a book or a vocabulary list shared by link is visible to anyone with the link), or when the law requires it.

6. Cookies and local storage

The app stores your session token and preferences (language, reader settings) in your browser so you stay signed in and keep your settings. Our own visit counter keeps a random visitor ID there too, together with the link that brought you (for example “tiktok, campaign test01”). When you create an account, that source is saved with it, along with the first time you used a translation or listened to a page, so we can see which campaigns bring people who actually read. None of this includes your e-mail, your name or anything you read or write. There are no advertising cookies, no advertising pixels and no third-party analytics trackers.

7. How long we keep data

Account, reading data and the coin balance: while your account exists. Logs: up to 30 days. When you delete your account, your library, vocabulary, notes, conversations and coin balance are deleted; shared translations of public-domain books are kept, because they contain nothing about you.

8. Your rights

You can see and change your data in the app. You can ask us to export or delete it, to correct it, or to stop a particular use, by writing to the developer on Telegram, t.me/imnokk; we answer within 30 days. If you live in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or another place with a data-protection authority, you may also complain to that authority.

9. Children

LingoRead is meant for people aged 16 and over. If you believe a younger child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

10. Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored with access limited to the service and its administrators. We do not collect payment card or wallet data. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach ever affects your data we will tell you as the law requires.

11. Changes

When this policy changes we update the date at the top and, for changes that matter, show a notice in the app. Continued use after the change means you accept the new version.
